AURON® DF is a direct flow-through vacuum tube collector which has been developed for both domestic hot water and back-up heating.
It has an extremely flexible and stable mounting system to make alignment towards the sun simple.
Together with the innovative hydraulic construction of the collector, every possible variation of roof, wall and floor positioning is available to the installer. By rotating the tubes the absorber plate can be so aligned that an optimal angle to the solar radiation can be achieved. The conversion of the sun’s rays into heat energy occurs via an absorber plate in an evacuated glass tube to ensure heat loss into the ambient air is almost completely prevented.
The absorber plate is made of aluminium and has a highly selective coating. This surface is metallically bonded to a coaxial copper-tube system. In this system, the absorbed heat is carried directly and almost without loss to the heat-carrying fluid of the solar energy system.
The connection of the vacuum tubes to the receiver is made by means of a conventional compression fitting and tube neck cover collars made of weather-proof synthetic material. The tube neck insulation is thus protected against environmental impact or bird pecking etc.
In addition, the strain on the glass-metal bonding is relieved and a long lifespan is assured for the vacuum tubes.
