Ultramax Thision L

Ultramax Thision L is a brand new range of gas fired, high efficiency, wall hung condensing boilers with outputs from 48kW to 145kW. Featuring a double helix stainless steel heat exchanger, the boilers have a high turndown rate of 6:1, affording the potential for accurate output-to-load matching.

Up to eight boilers can be installed in a purpose-built cascade rig delivering an industry leading combined output of up to 1,140kW. The on-board controls of the Thision L include the management of two heating zones plus the charging of a domestic hot water cylinder. The system is also easily adapted to provide multi-boiler cascade management.

The double helix stainless steel heat exchanger at the heart of the Thision L combines high quality materials and ingenious engineering to produce a highly efficient appliance. Thanks to its stainless steel construction the heat exchanger will maintain efficiency over its lifetime, and is much more resistant to corrosion and material degradation than traditional aluminium counterparts.

Thision L delivers direct on boiler weather compensated heating flow temperatures for comfort and optimum fuel efficiency. With the use of additional control modules, there is the possibility to control up to 30 mixed flow heating circuits. The user friendly interface utilises clear text to display operational information.

Thision L has a very wide modulation with a 6:1 turndown delivering excellent seasonal efficiency and reduced emissions. Plus, when installed in a cascade installation, it is very easy to match the heating load – especially in the “shoulder seasons” of autumn and spring.

To make specification and installation easy, the compact dimensions of Thision L make it an ideal choice for where plant room space is at a premium. And weighing from just 60kg it is lightweight and easy to handle – making life easier for installers. For multiple installations, Thision L has a purpose made and easy to assemble cascade rig and pipe work kit. The rig is supplied with moulded EPC insulation which not only reduces heat loss and keeps plant room temperatures down but also creates a neat and tidy final installation.
