From their headquarters in Basildon, MHS is proud to offer state of the art training and hands-on practice with fully working models of their boilers.
The training room is equipped with 3 operational boilers comprising one Strata 1 45 heating boiler; one Ultramax 85 WM boiler and one Streamline 47 combination boiler. Cut-away heat exchangers and boiler components are also used as training aids. All units are operational and may be worked on without fear of damage to the units or the surrounding area. Computer interfacing is also available for each unit to allow the candidates to view and alter as necessary:
Depending on existing technical ability, candidates will receive training on the principles of condensing boilers. In addition, there is detailed tuition on the boilers design and operation. This covers a range of topics from premix combustion to appliance control strategy and operational sequences to component fault diagnosis and replacement.
There is also a session on full commissioning, servicing and fault finding instruction with hands-on work in the test lab. Every candidate receives a full set of course notes to take away and MHS can cater for groups of up to ten, with lunch provided. Bill Sharman will be glad to provide any further details and he can be contacted on 01268 546700 or by email on bsharman@modular-heating-group.co.uk.
